In a research conducted by a technology analyst firm Telyste indicates more than 1.4 million mobile tablets were sold in Australia last year, representing an annual growth of more than 330%. This year, the same firm expected more than 2 million tablets will be sold locally.

This year, too, Telsyte believe that Microsoft's Windows 8 OS on tablets has the potential to accelerate the market specifically in the business sector; and the growth of channel vendors particularly with the arrival of 4G tablets; and the rise of "phablets" (think of Samsung Galaxy Note).

With the technology updating, avid mobile tablet users are rapidly growing unabatedly specially within a household where one device is shared between two or more people. These advancements has led countless opportunities for mobile marketers, media publishers, and businesses to deliver their content via dedicated applications.
